Understanding The COBI Titanic Set Lineup
Well, it’s 2021 and COBI has announced two new RMS Titanic sets in the 1/450th scale. We were confused about the differences and so we thought you may need help understanding the COBI Titanic set lineup as well.
Basically the long and short is that there are now three different COBI Brick Titanic models for three different types of Cobi Collectors.
- Hardcore Cobi Collector: COBI RMS Titanic 1/300th Scale set (1916) 2,840 pieces
- Model Ship and Titanic Collectors with limited display space; COBI RMS Titanic Executive Edition (1928) 960 pieces
- Young Cobi Collectors who like to play with their sets: COBI 1/450th scale Titanic (1929) 720 pieces
We are not addressing the additional Limited Edition sets as they are not offered in the USA.
How do the COBI Titanic models differer?
The COBI R.M.S Titanic (1929) is an entry level quasi non-display set that features 720 parts and has wheels built into a flat bottom hull for easy rolling on the floor. It’s nice that COBI remembered its younger collectors as they will grow up to be adult brick collectors in the future.
The COBI 1929 is the same size as the Cobi Executive Edition at 25.2″ long but its pretty much made for play! It will be available for pre-order from our web store in March 2021 with delivery expected in late March or early April. You can find the COBI Toys Titanic with wheels in our web store here.
The COBI RMS Titanic Executive Edition (1928) is COBI’s new mid sized detailed display model. It is named the Titanic Executive Edition as it was designed to fit into an executive office shelf or other display area that would otherwise be too small for COBI’s massive R.M.S Titanic (1916).
The COBI Executive Edition Titanic is the same size as the COBI 1929 set above but includes a full hull and display stand. The Set includes 960 highly detailed parts and is a good entry level COBI ship for the new collector! You can find the COBI Executive Edition in our web store here.
Last but not least is the COBI R.M.S Titanic 1/300th Scale (1916) model. This monster COBI set was the largest COBI set offered but was eclipsed by the COBI Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin set.
At 2,840 parts this set will blow your mind and your display space. This is the grand daddy of the COBI Brick Titanic lineup and is a must for serious COBI brick collectors! The COBI 1916 titanic is 36.2″ long and 11″ high and will be a crowning jewel in your COBI collection. You can find this massive lego Titanic model in our web store here.

Cobi brick sets are compatible with all other top quality brick brands. Cobi Bricks are made in Poland (European Union) and the sets are full of unique parts made just for adding realism to each set. These sets may require more attention to build due to the numerous parts and “layered” approach that Cobi Brick sets use. Cobi Brick sets come with super detailed and easy to use colored instructions. You can visit COBI’s Website here.
